  1. How do I use the NavBars?

It's most common to use the Server Side NavBar (SSNB). You get it this way: Go to this page and then click on the title of your website. Then in the menu to the left click "Get Navigation Code" and follow the instructions.

If you don't like the Server Side NavBar, you can use one of the NavBars below. To use them, do the following:

Copy the image to your local drive. (Right-click on the image and from the pop-up menu you select "save picture as" or similar.) Save it in the folder where your page is located.

Copy the code (Ctrl + c) (be sure you get it all) and paste it (Ctrl + v) in your own page. You must paste it while editing the raw HTML code, not in a graphical HTML editor.

Remember to change ___site_id_here___ to the correct number (your assigned site ID number). (What is my site ID number?)

  2. What is my site ID number?

If you don't know what your site ID is, you can find out this way:

Go to the page with your webrings ( this page ). In the list with Your Ring Sites there's a column called Site Title. Hold the mouse over your website (the one for the POV-Ray Webring). Look at the address shown in the status bar of your browser. Your ID number is the number that appears after this part of the addres: &id=

  6. Can I make my own NavBar?

If you like, and if you know how to do it, you can make your own design for the NavBar. If you choose to do so, you must follow the following guidelines:

You are allowed to make your own graphics for the NavBar as long as it follows the guidelines. It is preferred that you use the POV-Ray Webring logo in the graphics. To have a starting point for creating the graphics, you can download the pov source code for some of the graphics used for the NavBars shown on this page. The code reguires MegaPov.
